Two successive children in a family are born with various complications and do not survive very long. Will future children also meet the same fate? This talk will describe our experiences in using genome sequencing to help answer such questions. The talk will also describe the many computational tools and techniques needed in this endeavour, and the challenges and questions that confront us as we get better in this quest.
