Abstract

How do you take an innovative idea and build a company around it? How do you create something out of nothing? What will Silicon Valley startups look like in 5 years? How does this impact you? This talk will walk through the formation of Solidcore Systems, Inc., both from a technology angle and also from a business angle, as a case study providing insights and answers into some of the questions above.

About the Speaker

Rosen is a serial entrepreneur. He co-founded VxTreme in 1995 (acquired by Microsoft in 1997), Ensim in June 1998, Stratum8 in 2000, Green Border in 2001, Solidcore Systems in 2002 and Nuity Systems in 2003. Rosen's roots are in technology; he received his Ph.D. and was on the Computer Science faculty at Cornell University. Prior to that, Rosen received his Bachelor of Technology degree in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, where he was awarded the President's Gold Medal.
