Abstract

Performance is often relegated to the post-development phase, achieved through profiling and tuning. This really doesn't work in most systems. Performance is an architectural and design issue. In this talk we talk about some design priciples for systems that require high performance and illustrate them with real-life examples.

About the Speaker

Nagarju Pappu's area of expertise is high performance systems and distributed applications. He has more than 13 years of experience in the software industry with IITK, Oracle, Fujitsu, Infodream and PlanetAsia. Right now he is an indpenedent consulting architect operating from Bangalore.
