Abstract

In this talk I will introduce the basic notions of projective geometry and discuss its applications in a range of vision, robotics and image based rendering problems. In particular, I will concentrate on an image-based walk-through system that we have developed at IIT Delhi.

About the Speaker

Subhasis Banerjee is a Professor in CSE Department at IIT Delhi. He joined the faculty as Lecturer in 1989. Prior to that he did his BE in Electrical Engineering from Jadavpur University in 1982. He received his ME and PhD degress in Electrical Engineering from IISc, Bangalore in 1984 and 1989, respectively. His areas of interest include computer vision, robotics, real-time systems, image processing and pattern recognition.
