Abstract

MPLS is poised to address traffic engineering challenges in IP network. In this talk we will trace the evolution of MPLS from IP over ATM and illustrate how MPLS can address the traffic engineering and quality-of-service issues in Internet. We will also give a brief overview of MPLS protocol that is being developed at IIT Bombay.
