Abstract:

In memory computing has taken the world of enterprise data management by storm. Driven by the need for enterprises to process peta bytes of data in real time coupled with the radical improvements in the capabilities of memory hardware, in memory computing powers the next generation of enterprise applications to achieve speed and agility like never before. SAP HANA is SAP’s implementation of in memory computing technology. However HANA offers more than just the database itself – instead it is a comprehensive end to end platform for enterprises to run their businesses in real time. In this session we introduce you to in memory computing and HANA and also how it is transforming the way businesses are run.

About the speaker:

Thakurdas Paul holds a Comp Sc. degree from BITS, Pilani. He has close to 15years of experience in the industry primarily in the Product Engineering space. Right now, he is a Director in the Suite Test Engineering team in SAP Labs. In this role, he is responsible for the comprehensive end to end testing for a set of SAP Suite of products. He has been involved in pioneering several new concepts in the testing space including implementation of Exploratory testing etc. He has also been in the forefront of deriving a holistic technology enabling strategy to improve the overall efficiency and effectiveness of testing. He is also versed in several latest methodologies like LEAN, Design Thinking and Executive coaching. Prior to this, he has played multiple roles which includes Project/Program/People management for Banking and other industry solutions in SAP.
