Project Submission & Evaluation

The project submission date is now Monday, 11 November 2002.

You have to submit two things on or before that date:

  1. A report of your project, and
  2. Source code of the project.
Important

Prepare a short summary of your project with highlighting important features marked by bullet points. This will assist the evaluator understand your project.

The project evaluation team:

  • Dr. S. V. Rao
  • Dr. G. Sajith
  • Dr. R. K. Ghosh

will examine each submission as per the following schedule.

  • Date: 14th November, Thursday
  • Time: 5.00 PM onwards.

The project team(s) which have done overall impressive work will be recommended for a certificate of appreciation from the H. O. D.

Report should be about 8-10 pages long. You have to include the following in the report:

  1. Introduction.
  2. Description of the project.
    This should include description of the overall design and architecture of the project.
  3. Detailed description of the Data Structures used.
    As the term project is for the "Data Structures" course, this is the most important part of the report.
  4. Your comments and conclusion.
  5. References.
    List the books, papers, URLs (whatever is relevant) that you took help from to do your project. URLs should follow short descriptions about what they point to.

You may attach output (text or captured screens) of your programs if you wish to do so. But this is not compulsory. The output pages are not to be used as "fillers" to increase the size of the report. Attach them only if they are necessary and relevant.

Submit a neat print-out of the report on A4 size paper, stapled at the top left corner.

The source code is to be submitted through web.

  1. Upload a single .tar.gz or a .zip (windows) file of the source code. Please DO NOT include .class files in the submission. Include a README file containing the instructions for installation/compilation (and any other instructions or requirements for running your project) along with the source files. Uploading project files can be done in the similar way as you did for the assignment.
  2. Put the name and roll numbers of the team members in the README file.
  3. Upload only ONE submission per team. DO NOT upload a submission per team member.
