Venkatesh is a research scholar of Computer Science at the IIT Kanpur, Kanpur, IND under the guidance of Angshuman Karmakar and Somitra Sanadhya. He holds a M.tech (2025) in Computer Science and Engineering from the IIT Jodhpur, Jodhpur, IND and a B.E. in Computer Science from the Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology, Longowal, IND (2021).
Before his current journey, he served the IIT Jodhpur as Teaching Assistant(2023-25). During his M.tech. he also attended some research schools ACM Winter School 2024 on Introduction to modern Cryptography conducted by Cystar Lab, IIT Madras and ACM Summer School 2024 on Theoratical Foundations of Cryptography conducted by Trust Lab, IIT Bombay. After completing UG, he gained industry experience at the Accenture as an Application Development Analyst (2021-2023) and also completed internship at Virtually Testing Foundation as a Penetration Testing Intern (2021).
His primary research interests include Security in Computer Systems and Networks, particularly Applied Cryptography; Post Quantum Cryptography; Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems; Attack and Defence of Network Protocols; Vulnerabilities in Web Applications and Systems.
