HW4 - Gaze Tracking Exercise

Identify any points in the text where you have backtracked your gaze.

I have back tracked my gaze twice

• In the second line after the phrase "This theory was among the first..."
• In the second last line at the begining of the line "In chapter 5,..."

Where in the text are your fixations longer?

My fixations are longer at positions where either a longer word like acceptane, Organisms, propose, Lamark etc or a number like 5 or 1801 appears.

Explain your observations with respect to the text at these points.

This might be due to the fact that reading a longer word requires greater time and numbers appear much different than an english text altogether.
