In earlier seminars, we covered a few parts from Walters (Spring 18) and the initial three chapters from Einsiedler and Ward.
In this semester, we plan to cover topics in Einsiedler and Ward's "Ergodic theory with a view towards number theory", related to continued fractions (Chapter 3), Invariant Measures for Continuous Maps (Chapter 4), Actions of Locally Compact Groups (Chapter 8) and Geodesic Flow on Quotients of the Hyperbolic Plane (Chapter 9).
