Grading policy and guidelines for CS204 Algorithms Course Assignments. There will be individual grading for each programming assignment although you are working in a group.The following aspects will be looked into for calculating the grade for each individual assignment. 1) The strategy file ( groupnum.txt ) is mandatory without which your assignment won't be considered for grading (all in the group get a 0 ) Contents of strategy file : a) General strategy followed and implemented in your program. b) Names and roll numbers of the individuals in the group. This should be followed by a detailed description of each individual's contribution to the assignment. c) Note : The group members may be individually asked to explain their part of the assignment. 2) The points scored by the team will be taken into consideration for the grading. 3) The coding style and adherence to variable naming conventions will also be considered. 4) Efficiency of the code will be considered for grading. 5) You will be given individual grades on a 10 point scale for each assignment. 6) Your assignment has to be uploaded using your group no: only. Follow guidelines for upload posted on the website. 7) Submission after given deadline may not be permitted as it disrupts the schedule of games and any debugging should be done before the rounds start. No requests for changes in code will be entertained during a round. 8) You are permitted to change your strategy ( if required submit a new program ) for the next round. Please contact the T.A.'s for the schedule or look up the course website. Successive rounds will be held on the same day or on consecutive days.
