Course ------ Continuous evaluation, more tests can be given When we got more IPC than Andre, it was a wow moment for me The discussion-based teaching is the best thing about the course. I never fell asleep in class, which I do regularly in most of the courses. This is primarily because of discussions. I liked all the lectures in this course. It was different than my last three years at IITK. The course content was really great. The better part of the course was project and non-stop discussions. Discussions, discussions, discussions. Period. I would love to credit this course again. Interactive course. Encourages us to think and taught us how to ask questions rather than finding answers to questions. I will remember this course for a long time, not for architecture but for the way it forced me to question everything. I felt like a Boss when I participated in the discussions and provided moe than four to five points in one class. One of the fascinating courses at IITK. Discussion of the points that are not available on the Internet or books. I liked the questioning answering (discussions). It was a different course where students ask questions and students answer them too. Yes, Instructor also participates as a student but by providing hints and asking whys on everything. Sometime long pauses during discussions confused me. Can they be shortened? More tests can be part of the course. I love writing exams and I forget things if I do not write exams. I agree with the instructor's policy but I would suggest adding some more tests too :) Instructor ------------------- Teaching skills Biswa is cool. One of the highly interactive instructor at IITK. One of the hard-working and dedicated professors Biswa can teach you architecture by cracking jokes, by correlating with life, by correlating cricket. He makes us think critically and patiently wait for the answers. He puts his best efforts on almost everything and tries to bring out the intricacies in the subject. Sometimes explanations were tricky. The instructor kept pushing us to try and improve even though we did not try hard enough. His teaching style is unique. No books, no slides, I wonder is it possible to do in other courses. He engages students well An approachable instructor The teaching method is good. Maybe some more tutorials will help.
