Robotics at IIT Kanpur

The Mechanical Engineering Department supports an M.Tech. and Ph.D. program in the robotics stream. This work is largely interdisciplinary and is closely associated with the Center for Robotics.

Center for Robotics

The Robotics Center pursues projects in the areas of integrating electronics with sensors and actuation devices (Mechatronics). Some of the current projects are:
  1. Metal Rapid Prototyping through Micro-Welding [DST]
  2. Gesture-Based Virtual Reality [AICTE]
  3. Soccer Playing Robots [DST]
  4. Nuclear Industry Teleoperated Robots [BRNS]
  5. Teleoperated Fire Tending Robot [UP Fire Services]
  6. Virtual Reality Games

You may also find some recent M.Tech. Theses (Experimental).
