Started writing it in 1950, after -ve reviews of "Across the River and Into
the Trees".  publ posthumously 1970 after the complete ms. was among his
papers after he died 1961.   Thomas Hudson, a classic Hemingway stoic male
figure, is shown at peace on the island of Bimini, and then in Cuba, and at
Sea chasing a German ship.
A fourth part, which did not go with the rest, eventually became the Old Man
and the Sea (1952), and won him the Nobel 1954.
