Kanpur bikeathon and old iron bridge
the i-next people had told us it would start at 0730. given our experience last time, we thought it would be late and we planned on getting there by 0745. we had a puncture en route, and got there more like 8 am. approaching the venue, we didn't realize we were late. we met some riders - and thought they were also going to join the event. later we realized they were heading back after finishing the bikeathon! so we decided to check out the old historic iron bridge - it has two stories - the upper one is the real bridge, the lower one can be used by lowly pedestrians and bicycles. then we had a grand breakfast at mr brown's, and headed back via a quick detour to the sarsaiya ghat on the ganga.

we found huge crowds gathered inside the stadium. even at this point we didn't know the bikeathon was over. even now we were not aware that we are late!
